Last week, for my work, I had a really big event in the evening. I really wanted RT to be there to be able to mingle and network with professionals in his field and partners from other organizations. So, the question arose, Who will watch Little P?
Luckily, at our daycare, there are a couple of couples who are in the Morro Bay and Cayucos area and seem to be very easy-going and seem like folks that we could easily connect with, plus we adore their babies, too! So, in my mind, I'm thinking I should ask one of them if they could watch P that night, and we'd return the favor.
Well, Lilyana's parents, Cody and Rachel were happy to watch P. We stopped by their house the previous Sunday morning to chat and just get to know them a little better, although we have gotten to know them a little seeing them at daycare everyday and hanging out for a half hour at times at the end of the day to decompress and talk to all the other parents.
Anyway, at the night of my big annual reception, I actually arrived home the same time RT and P did. After feeding and bathing her, RT took P over to their house around 5:30 pm. They said she did fine. They played and judging by the pictures, she had a great time! Around 7:30-8 pm she started getting fussy and realized that Oh no! These are not my parents! Where are they? She started to cry pretty hard, I heard. But, she settled down, and by then Daddy was there to pick her up.
Walking from the house to the car, RT said that she was out! So, when I saw them pull up to the house, she was still out. Even after taking her out of the carseat, she remained zonked out and didn't wake up 'til the next morning!
